Building Museum

Last weekend we visited the Building Museum here in Washington DC., a grand building, finished in the later part of the nineteenth century. It has been home to some of Washington's more elegant events, beginning with the Inaugural Ball of President Grover Cleveland and most recently the Commander -in- Chiefs Ball for Barack Obama. Presently there are some fabulous exhibits on display, including a photography exhibit entitled Storefront Churches.
If you are looking for some great architecture or just a cool place to spend on a hot August day, be sure to include this in your plans on your next visit to D.C.
