On a recent return trip to Florida we opted for a slower scenic route, one that took us three days to complete. Thankful for the opportunity to take our time, it was a peaceful excursion winding our way through historic towns of the low country in the Carolinas. Although only one week before Christmas, we found the pace slower and the beaches peacefully quiet. A slower pace has many rewards, not the least of which is perspective.

And so comes the close of yet another year. May the new year bring peace, health and happiness..... and more periods of perspective.
