Wild Ponies Assateague Island National Seashore

I was recently in Chincoteague Virginia with some photography friends.  Our annual trip to capture the migrating snow geese to the Wildlife Refuge had us turning our lenses elsewhere as the geese seemed not to remember that this was the weekend they were to make their dramatic arrival.  No worry.  There were spectacular sunrises and sunsets and sufficient wildlife to shoot.  And of course the added benefit of spending time with like minded creative people I call my friends could  never be matched.  Next year; well there is talk of moving the weekend trip to another locale.  The snow geese will come as they please, we'll enjoy what is laid before us each day.
